Dubai the unfaithful temptress

Dubai is famed for it’s visitors the many thousands of people that flirt with the damsel that is Dubai for a few brief days or hours. Dubai being the mistress that it is, will inevitably leave a mark on all that encounter her. Some will fall in love with her and forever yearn to come back and see her again, others will just be smitten by her and end up staying for good. There are some who will for the rest of their lives rue the day they ever laid eyes on Dubai, for them she is nothing but an unfaithful temptress.
Mohammad Asif is one such man, he is the kind of man that seems to for some strange reason like to flirt with danger and most of it is off the pitch. He has now been in the clutches of the Dubai authorities for almost a week or more now, having been accused of bringing a banned substance into Dubai. As we all know from the Grooverider case Dubai is getting tough on this kind of thing, reports have said that the substance was ½ gram of Hashish in which case Mr Asif should be getting used to the 4 walls of his prison cell as he may be staying a while.
What the hell he was doing going from India (where he had been playing in the IPL) to Dubai , when in fact he was meant to be going to Pakistan is something I will never understand. I am not sure if flights from India to Pakistan operate, but it sometimes makes me wonder what is it about Dubai that attracts these high profile people to her especially when they pay no attention to the rules upon which she operates.
