Wednesday, 31 December 2008 No Comment

Dubai (United Arab Emirates): Dubai Taxi Agency at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) honoured 10 taxi drivers and 10 employees who took part in “Clean up UAE” Campaign staged by Emirates Environmental Group in mid December 2008, in association with several related official agencies.

Abdul Aziz Malik, CEO of RTA Taxi Agency, stated that the RTA was keen to take part in all initiatives aiming to promote volunteer activities among drivers and employees; which reflected part of its commitment towards various categories of the community.

“This marks the first ever participation by the Agency in Clean up UAE Campaign, through which we aim to raise the environmental awareness among drivers & employees; a matter which will boost public health standards and the tourist profile of the UAE in general and the emirate of Dubai in particular, noting that cabdrivers are in continuous contact with the environment, infrastructure, tourist destinations and commercial spots in the emirate”.

“Honouring these employees reflects the keen attention of Dubai Taxi Agency to recognize the assiduous efforts of its distinguished drivers and employees who are working tirelessly to deliver their jobs perfectly. Such contributions merit recognition and highlighting as they set an example of a self-motivated commitment to do more and better to upgrade the performance and realize the intended results without angling for reward, regardless of the scope or nature of the job done” added Al-Malik.

During the ceremony 3 cabdrivers of Dubai Taxi Agency were honoured for their distinguished performance in customer service, based on findings of a field campaign, known as Mystery Rider, concluded to by a number of employees of the Agency, which was launched by Dubai Taxi Agency in association with Public Transport Agency. The Campaign runs from 25th to 30th of December 2008.
