Dubai, UAE, October 29th, 2008; Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates emerged triumphant at the prestigious World Travel Awards in Dubai, winning coveted honours as the Middle East’s Leading Leisure Hotel. The World Travel Awards are the industry’s biggest and most highly anticipated awards ceremony.

Hailed as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’, winners are determined by online votes that are received over the course of one-year from executives working within the travel and tourism industries worldwide, making the World Travel Awards the most comprehensive and authoritative awards ceremony in the travel and leisure industry.

“It’s a great honour to be recognized as the Middle East’s Leading Leisure Hotel and truly confirms our status as one of the region’s best,” exclaimed Holger Schroth, General Manager, Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates.

Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates is the world’s third largest indoor ski resort. Also attached to the one of the regions biggest shopping malls, the truly unique five star deluxe hotel is set to be a destination in itself offering a complete leisure experience with state-of-the-art health club, Softouch Spa, swimming pool and tennis court. Guests will be able to go skiing, shopping, or simply soak up the ‘winter’ atmosphere in one of the restaurants overlooking the ski slope.

Schroth also paid tribute to the luxury hotel’s staff for ensuring only the highest standards of service for which it has been known all over the world. “These awards only serve to inspire and challenge us to remain steadfast in our commitment to provide our guests an unrivalled experience in luxury, leisure and comfort,” he added.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards held its 15th annual World Travel Awards Ceremony recently in Dubai. The World Travel Awards honours leading travel-related organizations in worldwide and regional categories, which range from airlines, hotels, beaches and cruise lines to credit cards, car rental companies and hotel reservation services.
