DCCI’s Printing and Publishing Group to honour industry’s best in 2008

January 8, 2009: The winners of the Dubai Print Awards 2008, being organised under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, will be announced at a ceremony to be held on January 27, 2009, at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.

Organised by the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (DCCI) Printing and Publishing Group (PPG), the eagerly-awaited event will bring together key players from the printing and publishing sector in the Gulf region to celebrate new benchmarks of excellence achieved by the industry’s best over the past year.

The Dubai Print Awards aim to honour companies, which have played leading roles in the industry’s success and growth in 2008, during which it generated more than AED 6 trillion in annual revenues.

“Everything is in readiness for the third Dubai Print Awards, which will recognise the valuable contributions of various organisations in the progress of the region’s rapidly growing printing and publishing sector,” said Ahmad Bin Hassan Al Shaikh, Chairman of the Printing and Publishing Group.

The 3rd Dubai Print Awards 2008 will see the presentation of Gold, Silver and Special Jury Awards in 20 different categories, including six debuting Digital Printing Maximum Size (A3) awards. The Digital Printing category will include awards for Point-of-Purchase Materials, Posters, Annual Reports, Cards, Brochures and Catalogues, and Newsletters.
