Beta IT selected to implement second phase of networking for DSOA

Dubai, UAE, December, 29, 2008 -In a significant development, Beta Information Technology L.L.C. (Beta IT) announced that it has been selected to implement the second phase of networking infrastructure for the headquarters of Dubai Silicon Oasis, the region’s premier integrated innovations hub for high-tech industries.

As part of the agreement Beta IT will collaborate with DSOA on a series of projects to enhance the network capabilities; thus supporting DSOA’s vision of transforming the Dubai Silicon Oasis into one of the world’s leading centers of advanced electronic innovation design and development.

Osama Al Daour, General Manager – BETA IT, said: “We are committed to working with DSOA to help improving the development of human capital and technology by updating the infrastructure with the latest technology. DSO has earned a well-deserved reputation as a leading integrated hub for technology companies and has excelled in its field through providing innovative solutions for companies operating from within its premises.”

Abdulsalam Rahma Bastaki, Director of IT & Services – DSOA, added: “The Dubai Silicon Oasis management is always on the lookout for new technologies and upgrades that elevate the level of technical support and services provided to companies operating within the Silicon Oasis. Moreover, we are glad to embark on a major upgrade initiative with Beta IT to help transform DSOA’s ability to access and share information across technical and national boundaries.”

Beta IT will work with DSOA on upgrading its network infrastructure to create a state-of-the-art “Technology Oasis”, including server based computing solutions, network management solutions, network security solutions, Data Centers, and local area networks. Utilizing the latest technologies, the project will enable people from DSOA to support the Oasis as a community by providing better services for their partners to grow.

Dubai Silicon Oasis is a free zone technology park for semiconductor, microelectronic and other high technology-based companies looking to set up their regional headquarters and R&D facilities in the Middle East and North Africa region.
