The Most Expensive Printer In The World?

Friday, 24 November 2006 One Comment

It may not have not escaped your attention but GITEX 2006 was in town this week and according to the blurb it is “among the world’s top 3 IT exhibitions, GITEX continues to be the most important gateway to the Middle East market with over 1200 exhibitors representing 2274 Companies from 61 Countries”

Looking around at some of what people are writing I came across this post from ‘Dubai At Random’ who says “Colour laser printers were about ,000 at last year’s Gitex. This year, they are about 0.” A little later I came across this nice little model.

It was from HP’s stand, who decided to celebrate hitting the four million sales barrier in the Middle East by taking an ordinary HP1160 laser printer and coating it in 24-carat gold. And that makes it worth ,000.
